The invention is directed to a membrane (1) comprising a top waterproofing layer (2) and optionally a layer of fiber material (3), wherein the top waterproofing layer (2) comprises at least one thermoplastic polymer (P), at least one thermochromic pigment (TP) and at least one UV-light absorber (A). Such membranes are able to change their color as a response to a change in temperature, which enables controlling the amount of heat energy absorbed into the membrane and transmitted to a building structure. The invention is also directed to a method for producing a membrane and to a method for covering a substrate using the membranes of the present invention. |
