This carboxylic acid production method enables a carboxylic acid to be produced efficiently, the method comprising: a step (A) for filtering a carboxylic acid-containing fermentation liquid by passing the same through a nano-filtration membrane to obtain a carboxylic acid-containing filtrate from the permeation side; and a step (B) for extracting, from the carboxylic acid-containing filtrate obtained in step (A), a carboxylic acid by using an extraction solvent that undergoes phase separation with respect to the filtrate, and recovering a carboxylic acid extract obtained as a phase separated from a water phase. |
