Polyester film and production method therefor |
abstract |
[Problem] To provide an environmentally friendly polyester film which has excellent unsusceptibility to pinhole formation and to bag breakage, is reduced in the content of foreign substances, and has low unevenness in machine-direction physical property and for which a recycled polyester resin from PET bottles has been used. [Solution] A biaxially stretched polyester film characterized by comprising 60-95 mass% poly(butylene terephthalate) (A) and 5-40 mass% one or more polyester resins (B) other than (A), at least 60 mass% or more of the polyester resins (B) being accounted for by a recycled polyester resin from PET bottles and further characterized by satisfying all of the following (1) to (4). (1) To have a piercing strength of 0.6 N/μm or greater. (2) To have a degree of planar orientation of 0.144-0.160. (3) To have degrees of thermal shrinkage through 15-minute heating at 150°C of 0-4% for the machine direction and -1 to 3% for the transverse direction. (4) To have thickness precisions in the machine direction and the transverse direction of 15% or less each. |
