The invention relates to a scanning body for supporting a measuring of oral cavities, the scanning body having a connection portion (1) for connecting to an element fixed to the jaw, such as an implant, and a main portion (3) extending from the connection portion (1) along a main axis (A), and at least one arm (6, 7) disposed at an angle (11) to the main axis (A). The problem addressed by the present invention is therefore that of providing a scanning body that can be identified, and differentiated from others, as easily as possible for an algorithm while at the same time causing the least possible disruption to the taking of images. This is solved in that at least one arm (6, 7) has at least one orientation marking (9). |
