abstract |
The present patent application relates to automatic equipment for performing orthopedic and physiotherapeutic procedures for the passive movement of the knee joint (patellofemoral and tibiofemoral) incorporating three movement units: a knee extension and flexion movement unit, a knee internal and external rotation movement unit, and a multidirectional patellar mobilization unit (inferior-superior and medial-lateral), as well as an external support for the multidirectional patellar mobilizer and a control unit. The flexion and extension movement unit comprises a mechanical and electronic structure on which the leg rests during use thereof, and which has at least two leg supports corresponding to the region of the back of the thigh and to the region of the back of the leg (calf). The knee internal and external rotation movement unit consists of a structure comprising a leg support and a foot (sole) support that are coupled to the knee flexion and extension movement unit, and the multidirectional patellar mobilization unit comprises a receptacle containing a retainer and an actuating element. |
