An aqueous coating composition for automotive exteriors which comprises resin particles (A), a crosslinking agent (B), a pigment (C), and nanocellulose (D), characterized by having a content of the nanocellulose (D) of 0.5-2.0 parts by mass on solid basis per 100 parts by mass of resinous solid components of the coating composition, a solid concentration of 45-65 mass%, and a viscosity, as measured with a Brookfield viscometer under the conditions of a temperature of 20°C and a rotor rotation speed of 60 rpm, of 350-1,200 mPa·s. |
