abstract Provided is a blood purification system wherein undiluted agent B used in a blood purification treatment step is reusable as an alkaline agent to be used in a degreasing and cleaning step and the degreasing and cleaning step can be reliably and smoothly performed. This blood purification system comprises: a piping unit provided with a dialysate introduction line (L1) and a drainage discharge line (L2); a duplex pump (1); and a control unit (13) that executes a blood purification treatment step wherein a dialysate, which is prepared by diluting undiluted agent A and undiluted agent B each to a preset concentration, is fed to a dialyzer (C) to perform the blood purification treatment, and a degreasing and cleaning step wherein the undiluted agent B is introduced into the piping unit and the thus obtained aqueous sodium carbonate solution is passed therethrough to degrease the piping unit. The control unit (13) executes an aqueous bicarbonate solution production step for producing a preset volume of an aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate solution while discharging carbon dioxide by a heating section (4) and a degassing section (5) and then executes the degreasing and cleaning step using the aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate solution.
