| abstract | Debris deflector (30) essentially intended for vehicles (24) having wheels (14, 16) supporting a track (12). Without a deflector (30), debris accumulates in the track (12), constituting an obstacle to the performance of the vehicle. An elastomeric deflector in the shape of a reverse (30) is connected to the vehicle (24), and located between the front wheels and the rear wheels (14, 16). The upper face (34) of the reverse is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle (24). When debris falls from an upper part of the track (12), it strikes the deflector (30) and is deflected out of the track (12). The deflector (30) has front and rear edges adjacent, respectively, to the surfaces of the treads (18) of the front and rear wheels (14, 16) for scraping debris and removing it from the surfaces of the treads (18) wheels (14, 16). |
