abstract Method, apparatus and system for controlling the rate of transmission of insulation through the roof (22) of a building (20), such as a greenhouse. The roof is provided with translucent panels (45) through which a liquid containing an opacifying material passes. The control is carried out via the panels to optimally satisfy and pre-selected the combined heating, cooling and insulation needs of the building under changing atmospheric conditions.
