titleOfInvention | Device for the continuous treatment, such as mixing, homogenizing, etc., of liquids, emulsions and the like |
abstract | The device for the continuous treatment such as mixing, homogenizing, introduction or release of gas, polymerization of liquids, emulsions, suspensions, viscous masses, etc., comprises a plurality of parallel, vertical shafts (1) rotating in the same direction and arranged according to a circle. Each shaft comprises a plurality of discoid treatment elements (13-15) situated in parallel planes and which are geared like combs with the elements of the neighbouring shafts. The elements (13-15) and the shafts delimit together a central space (16) where the periphery of the elements is free. In order to attack evenly and smoothly the material to be treated during a mixture or an intensive homogenization and to avoid local shearing stress and heating peaks of the resulting material, the treatment elements (13-15) have at least on one portion of the length of the shafts (1) their peripheries (130-115) free at the locations opposite to the central space (16). |
