abstract Dyes contain a group having general formula (2), in which X stands for chlorine or fluorine, R stands for hydrogen, alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms or alkoxy with 1 to 4 C atoms and M stands for hydrogen or an alkaline metal or the molar equivalent of an alkaline earth metal. They have fiber-reactive properties and are capable of dyeing with strong and true tones hydroxy and/or carbonamide group-containing materials, in particular fibrous materials such as cellulose fiber materials, wool and synthetic polyamide by conventional dyeing and printing processes.
