abstract A trisaccharide Lewis sugar-chain antigen derivative having a novel structure involving a moranoline represented by general formula (I) and being useful as a medicine, wherein R1 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl; and R?2 and R3¿ represent each independently galactopy-ranosyl or fucopyranosyl each substituted by hydroxysulfonyl or a metal salt thereof. It has a cell adhesion inhibitor activity and is useful for preventing or treating inflammation and accompanying thrombus formation, rheumatism, immunopathy, viral infection and cancer.
