A method for making textiles, such as wide width sheeting, having an undulating, irregular, shaded and watery appearance (or 'washed out' look) is disclosed. The method includes treating the textiles at one or more points during the manufacturing process to alter the condition of the fiber, yarn and/or cloth to cause a dye (used in a coloration step) to be less evenly dispersed and absorbed than it would have been without the treatment. |
