titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE OF MAKING A SELF-BEARING CERAMIC MOLD FOR PRECISION CASTING OF TITANIUM AND ITS ALLOYS |
abstract | The wax model is moistened by immersion in a suspension of the organic compound of titanium and the addition of zirconium oxide powder - ZrO2, the leavened model is sprinkled with ZrO2 powder, and after drying the process is repeated to form the primary ceramic layers. To avoid making a massive (r) block mold of gypsum, secondary ceramic layers are superimposed on the primary layers by immersing the pre-formed primary layers with a suspension (ES) composed of ethyl silicate, ethyl alcohol, hydrochloric acid. and zirconium silicate powders and the acidified model are sprinkled with (r) molohita¯ powder (a mixture of 2SiO2.3AI2O3) to form the first secondary layer. The process of drying, immersing in an ES suspension and sprinkling with (r) molohite ® powder is repeated 5 to 7 times until the wax model is coated with a ceramic layer with a total thickness of about 8 mm. Such a coated wax model is placed in an electrically resistant furnace heated to 900 ° C when the wax evaporates almost instantaneously and the ceramic mold is baked for 3h at 900 ° C, then the heating is switched off and the mold is cooled from the furnace to room temperature and cooled down. from the oven. |
