External interaction databases integrated within InnateDB
About 340,355 interactions have been integrated into InnateDB from the Molecular Interaction database (MINT) (Chatr-aryamontri et al, 2007); the IntAct database (Kerrien et al, 2007); the Database of Interacting Proteins (DIP) (Salwinski et al, 2004); the General Repository for Interaction Datasets (BioGRID) (Breitkreutz et al, 2007) and the Biomolecular Interaction Network Database (BIND) (Alfarano et al, 2005).
Please note that the numbers below may contain duplicates in case of interactions between human and murine genes or gene products.
Developed by the European Bioinformatics Institute, IntAct is a source of over 473,426 binary interactions that may be searched, visualized and downloaded.
InnateDB currently contains 32,631 human, 10,415 mouse and 477 bovine interactions from IntAct (December 7, 2014).
Source of over 78,490 binary interactions from organisms including mouse, rat, human, fruit fly and yeast.
InnateDB currently contains 5,960 human, 1,963 mouse and 54 bovine interactions from DIP (December 7, 2014).
Contains more than 241,458 curated interactions - including more than 23,000 mammalian protein-protein interactions.
InnateDB currently contains 19,261 human, 3,270 mouse and 209 bovine interactions from MINT (December 7, 2014).
Now integrated with the Biomolecular Object Network Databank (BOND) since being acquired by Unleashed Informatics, BIND is a source of curated interaction, reaction, complex and pathway information.
InnateDB currently contains 17,135 human, 3,023 mouse and 440 bovine interactions from BIND (December 7, 2014).
Contains more than 308,655 curated interactions from organisms including Homo sapiens, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Drosophila melanogaster, Caenorhabditis elegans.
InnateDB currently contains 237,227 human, 22,043 mouse and 286 bovine interactions from BioGRID (December 7, 2014).
