Tutorials:

  • The TCDB homepage
This tutorial desribes the contents, organization and functionality of the main TCDB homepage.

    The system entry page
This tutorial desribes the contents, organization and functionality of the pages describing each transport system in TCDB.

    The "Search TCDB" Box
This tutorial shows all the different types of queries you can submit to TCDB from the main page.

    TC-Blast
This tutorial shows how to scan TCDB for homologs given a query protein sequence.

    The Substrate Search Tool
This tutorial shows how to query TCDB for systems involved in the transport of specific substrates. The search is performed based on compound names and following the ChEBI ontology. This tutorial also covers the substrate Statistics Tool that estimates the number of systems transporting different substrates within the same (sub)class, (sub)family or system.

    Transporters and human diseases
This tutorial shows how to query TCDB for systems involved in human diseases, or alternatively, all transporters within a TC (sub)class or (sub)family involved in human diseases.
