Some Pokémon are nocturnal Pokémon, which means they appear more frequently in the wild at night, or do not appear at all unless it is night. This only applies to Generation II, Generation IV and Generation VII, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Generation IX, where time is a major feature.
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in that location in the specified game. A white background with colored text means that the Pokémon cannot be found there.
