Wiki Loves Folklore

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photographic contest organized by Wikimedia community to document cultures in different regions of the world. Wiki Loves Folklore is continuation of Commons:Wiki Loves Love 2019 project with the theme of folk culture.

The basic aim of the competition is to collect photos of human cultural diversity to illustrate articles in the worldwide free encyclopedia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects. The photos provided must match the theme, although the contest is not limited to any official list of protected areas, which means that most users will be able to find several pertaining subjects close to theme, whether festivals, dances, cuisine, clothing or daily life routine emphasizing on folk culture of that area.

  • Deadline for submissions: February 28, 2021 23:59 UTC.
  • Ghana results declaration: March 28 2021
  • International Results Declaration: around April 1 2021

Everybody is allowed to participate, regardless of age, nationality and place of living, given he/she agrees to publish their work under Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
