Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Siebrand 06:26, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Solberg-Suecia_03.jpg
edit
Thanks for uploading Image:Solberg-Suecia_03.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. --Digon3 talk 01:38, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello Optimus07,
You have uploaded several images that are copyright violations and you have done so despite our requests not to do so, and despite our instructions. Please do leave me a message if you have further questions. —LX (talk, contribs) 23:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

This is the official logotype of Rally Argentina as it appears on http://www.rallyargentina.com. You are not the copyright holder of it and you may not issue a licence to the work. This also applies to Image:Argentina20061.PNG and Image:Rally argentina.JPG. —LX (talk, contribs) 23:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Stohl-Japón1.JPG and others

Thanks for uploading Image:Stohl-Japón1.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. Do you own a lot of different cameras?
editI noticed you have uploaded some very good photographs. Some of them are missing source information, as I have noted above, and some of them were taken from web sites which do not license their works under the sources you claimed. In some cases, you claimed to be the copyright holder of these works; in others, you were forthcoming about where the photos came from, even though the licensing was clearly incorrect.
You claim that Image:Service park arg 2004n.JPG, Image:Box Subaru.JPG, Image:SSS Grecia1.jpg, and Image:Interior Subaru.jpg (among others) are all your own work. I just want to confirm that the following is correct.
Image:Service park arg 2004n.JPG was taken with a $2,000 Nikon D100 DSLR on 15 July 2004. The very next day, you supposedly switched to a $300 Nikon E3200 point-and-shoot to take Image:Box Subaru.JPG. Image:SSS Grecia1.jpg was taken on 23 June 2005 with a $4,500 Canon EOS-1D Mark II high-end professional DSLR, and then you supposedly downgraded again to take Image:Interior Subaru.jpg on 29 November 2007 using a $200 Sony DSC-P41 point-and-shoot. Are you sure you took these photos yourself? Could you help us out with an explanation for this rather unlikely pattern of camera changes? Thanks! —LX (talk, contribs) 00:03, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I took many of thats photos and the others was taken by fiends of my. I took all the photos from Argentina except for the one about the service park. The others in Europe, a friend of my sent to me. I'm not the owner of all that cameras... may be one or two are mine and the others are borrow... --- Optimus07 —the preceding unsigned comment was added by Optimus07 (talk • contribs) 05:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please respect my request to keep discussions where they started, as this makes conversations easier to follow. I am watching this page, so I will see responses made here.
- Okay, you need identify which photos were not taken by you and which ones were. For photos taken by others, you are not the copyright holder, so you must not claim to be, and you must not attempt to issue any licence for those photos.
- What you'll need to do is to obtain a licensing statement for any photo not taken by yourself from the person who did and forward this to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org per the instructions at Commons:OTRS. You then need to identify the real author and copyright holder on the image description page and reference the OTRS ticket for the licensing using {{PermissionOTRS}}. If you don't know who took the photo or they are unwilling to licence their work freely or you are unable to obtain a licence from them for any other reason, you must put it up for deletion.
- Please note that it is a requirement of Wikimedia Commons to provide complete and truthful source information, and it is a requirement of the {{GFDL}} to properly attribute the author. —LX (talk, contribs) 09:12, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
More copyright violations
editHey. I have tagged four of your uploads for speedy deletion as copyright violations.
- Image:Grönholm en Traslasierra.JPG is from mgr.fi
- Image:Gronholm-Chipre 03.jpg is from mgr.fi
- Image:Gronholm-Montecarlo 01.jpg is from mgr.fi
- Image:1985 Salonen-diapo arg.jpg is copyrighted to Rally-Live.com, as the source link you provided shows.
It seems that you have both uploaded several non-free, copyrighted images and presented them as your own, and uploaded several similar images and given a proper source but invalid copyright tag. This violates copyrights, so please stop or you will be blocked. Prolog 03:18, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Image deletion warning | All your images have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry. If you created these images, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution.
