The files are various transportation-related images, in which they all have a watermark stating that "Photo by 201系", but were cropped out by others. As a result, the files will all need OTRS verification in order to keep them.

  •  Keep These are a collection of 123 valuable in-scope photographs, significantly 121/123 are in-use, all uploaded by the same user with the same watermark on them (translation "201 series", clearly a pseudonym); the user has not been active since 2013 so they are incredibly unlikely to ever see this deletion discussion or be available to write to OTRS, and the photographs have been happily hosted on Commons for more than a decade. Unless there is some evidence that at least one of these photographs has been published elsewhere on a conflicting non-free license, or there is some other reason to doubt that the uploader was lying as releasing these as own work, then this looks like a bad faith nomination. Reasonable assertions of "own work" can be taken in good faith unless there is some rationale to demonstrate that the criteria of "significant doubt" that precautionary principle requires has been broken.
Further analysis: Based on a search of the commonswiki database, there is no prior case where a single one of this account's uploads have been deleted. Consequently, in the last decade, despite significant reuse, nobody has found anything worrying about the copyright of these photographs. --Fæ (talk) 10:51, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A watermark "201 series" isn't anything I'm going to worry about unless I have further evidence of these images being sourced other than from the uploader here. We don't require OTRS as a blanket imposition on all editors, I see no reason to impose that on this editor. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:34, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep Cropping of watermarks per the proposed COM:WATERMARK policy (as it was understood then, and commonly followed) is not evidence of anything. If these previously existed on the Internet, there might be an issue, but that was not shown in the DR reasoning. On the contrary, these all appear to have been uploaded by the same user, using the same camera, and some of them were uploaded only hours after being taken. Those are a very strong indications they were uploaded with a valid license by the copyright owner, and probably also validates any that they did previously post anywhere anyways. I was thinking that with such amount of images with watermarks cropped out is increasingly suspicious, but Fæ's statistics should ground that these images are likely to be original.
