This page is a forum for requesting files from other Commons users for pages in Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia articles. Recent sections with no replies for 365 days and sections tagged with {{section resolved|1=--~~~~}} may be archived; for old discussions, see the archives.

Adding a request

• First, try to find a file on your own (see help on public domain image resources.)
• For a file of a specific location, it may be possible to contact someone near to the location and request that they take a photo. The nearest photographer tool can help to locate users who are near to specific locations.
• If the object has a fixed location, it can have a Wikidata item with geocoordinates. Items with coordinates will be seen on the WikiShootMe map where any user of that website can see all the places that lack a picture.
• Link to a page where you want the image to be placed.
• If possible, include an external link to a picture about the request.
• Sign your request in case there are questions (use ~~~~).

Upload requested image

• Upload the image, provide licensing information, source, and description.
• Reply to the requester and close the section with {{section resolved|1=--~~~~}}
