Top views of Vehicles
Top views of vehicles. Prefer views looking directly downwards, i.e. plan views. We currently have very, very few photos of cars directly from above (most of the photos in Category:Top views of automobiles are not true top views, but are taken at an angle from the side). The top view, or plan view, is said to be one of the best for appreciating a car's design. We also have few top views of watercraft, and no top views of trains. Top views of aircraft are the most common, but having more would always be nice. Proposed by dllu (t,c) 02:25, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support Wow, good out of the box idea. Let's do this. It isn't even too hard. What with all the highway bridges with pedestrian access, I have taken photographs from them too. – b_jonas 10:47, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support nice theme, like "blueprint come true", it has engineering and beauty. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 22:30, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose – realistically… photos looking down from overpasses at random vehicles, leaning out of high buildings (endangering life and limb and photographic equipment), for photos that will be not-quite-plan views? Why? I ask politely. This gallery shows points of view impossible for many photographers. – Shillings1005 (talk) 09:35, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Shillings1005: We could definitely safely take pictures of the tops of vehicles while standing on bridges, balconies, or aerial photography taken with a drone. --Atomicdragon136 (talk) 00:54, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- I forgot about drones, and how common they’re becoming. All the same, it’s one of the more exclusive themes being suggested. I suppose it’ll be okay, if it’s paired up with an easier one. – Shillings1005 (talk) 07:18, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
