At the request of the Sri Lankan Government, UNESCO is taking part in a five-year programme to restore and protect the principal sites and monuments within a zone marked out by the ancient cultural capitals of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Kandy. Kiri Vehera dagaba (12th century A.D.). French transcr.: Campagne internationale pour la sauvegarde des sites et monuments du "Triangle Culturel". à la demande du Gouvernement du Sri Lanka, l'UNESCO participe à un programme de cinq ans destiné à restaurer et à assurer la protection des principaux sites et monuments à l'intérieur d'une zone délimitée par les anciennes capitales culturelles d'Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa et Kandy.
