- Regulation (EU) No 531/2012, shorthand name Roaming Regulation, regulates the imposition of roaming charges (Eurotariff) within the European Economic Area (EEA), which consists of the member states of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. This regulates both the charges mobile network operator can impose on its subscribers for using telephone and data services outside of the network's member state, and the wholesale rates networks can charge each other to allow their subscribers access to each other's networks. The regulation has since been amended, and implementing regulations have been enacted (see below). Since 2007, the roaming regulations have steadily lowered the maximum roaming charges allowable. In December 2016, the representatives of the Member States voted to abolish all roaming charges by June 2017 which eventually led to the abolition of all roaming charges for temporary roaming within the EEA as of 15 June 2017. Provisions regulating roaming charges are contained in several regulations: Regulation No 531/2012 on roaming on public mobile communications networks within the Union, Regulation 2015/2120 and Regulation 2017/920 amending it, as well as Regulation 2016/2286 laying down detailed rules on the application of the fair use policy and Regulation 2021/2228 setting the weighted average of maximum mobile termination rates. As regards rules for wholesale roaming market, these are amended by Regulation 2017/920. Originally due to expire after 30 June 2022, a 10-year extension was agreed upon in April 2022. La normativa vigente es "el Reglamento (UE) no 531/2012 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 13 de junio de 2012, sobre la itinerancia en las redes públicas de comunicaciones móviles en la Unión", que deroga y sustituye al previamente existente "Reglamento (EC) 717/2007 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 27 de junio de 2007 sobre la itinerancia en las redes públicas de telefonía móvil en la Comunidad y que modifica la Directiva 2002/21/CE", con efectos a partir del 1 de julio de 2012. A los precios dentro de este reglamento se les denomina frecuentemente como Eurotarifa o Zona 1 (es)
- L’itinérance internationale dans l'Union européenne est encadrée depuis 2007 par une succession de règlements concernant entre autres la fixation de prix maximaux pour les communications mobiles dans l'Espace économique européen lorsque l'abonné est en mode itinérance à l'étranger. La finalité fut la suppression des frais d'itinérance le 15 juin 2017. La législation européenne sur les frais d'itinérance a fait l'objet de plusieurs règlements de l'Union européenne :

- L'Eurotariffa è stato il piano di tariffazione del roaming internazionale deciso dall'Unione europea per tutti gli operatori di telefonia mobile comunitari al fine di garantire agli utenti delle reti pubbliche di comunicazione mobile che viaggiano all'interno dell'Unione di non pagare prezzi eccessivi rispetto alle tariffe competitive nazionali per i servizi vocali di roaming intracomunitario quando effettuano e ricevono chiamate, inviano e ricevono SMS e utilizzano servizi di trasmissione dati a commutazione di pacchetto. Tramite una serie di Regolamenti successivi, l'obiettivo dell'Unione Europea è stato quello di abolire totalmente i costi di roaming per viaggiatori occasionali. La normativa di riferimento è il Regolamento (CE) N. 717/2007 del Parlamento Europeo, così come modificato dal Regolamento (CE) N. 544/2009. Dal 15 giugno 2017, con la fine del roaming, l'Eurotariffa non esiste più. I possessori di un numero di telefono cellulare rientrante nello Spazio economico europeo (Unione Europea, Norvegia, Islanda, Liechtenstein) possono utilizzare le proprie offerte e tariffe nazionali da tutto il territorio di esso senza pagare alcun sovrapprezzo. - Roamingförordningen, eller förordning (EU) 2022/612 (tidigare förordning (EU) nr 531/2012), är en förordning som reglerar villkoren för roaming inom Europeiska unionen. Den utgör en del av harmoniseringslagstiftningen för den inre marknaden. Genom EES-avtalet gäller förordningen även i Island, Liechtenstein och Norge. Den gällde i Storbritannien under en övergångsperiod fram till och med den 31 december 2020 i enlighet med avtalet om Storbritanniens utträde ur Europeiska unionen. Roamingförordningen reglerar både avgifterna mobiloperatören kan ålägga sina abonnenter för att använda telefon- och datatjänster utanför sin egen medlemsstat, och grossistpriset operatörerna kan belasta varandra när abonnenterna gästar varandras nätverk. Den nuvarande roamingförordning gäller fram till och med den 30 juni 2032. Innan dess gällde den tidigare roamingförordningen. (sv)
