Year of Birth

edit

All sources that I can find say Ferrer was born in 1912. The Find-A-Grave link does not show any close up markings on the gravesite.--Phyllis1753 (talk) 23:40, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

There are similar numbers of hits for "Jose Ferrer 1912" as "Jose Ferrer 1909". -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 09:20, 6 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Messes

edit

This article, as of June 2012, is a disorganized mess. The reader has to read one paragraph, and then search the entire article for a vital piece of information that belongs there. It is a struggle to find out anything. I made a few changes towards organizing this article for ease of access and readability, but I don't have more time to spend on straighting out the whole thing. I have other subjects that I am a expert on, and I will spend my time there.98.67.168.208 (talk) 03:35, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Info Box - Awards

edit

He won many awards, including an Oscar and a Tony. But, the Info Box lists only "National Medal of Arts" under "Awards". Why is this? Thanks. 32.209.55.38 (talk) 05:00, 13 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Age Error: 1912 + 16 does not equal 1933

edit

JF's birth year is given as 1912. In the Early Life section, it says, "In 1933, Ferrer began his university studies at the age of 16, and completed his bachelor's degree in architecture at Princeton University, ...". That is a very poorly written sentence. Is it "In 1933, JF began his studies at age 16" or is it supposed to mean that "In 1933, ... [he] completed his degree ..."?

If JF graduated from Princeton in 1933, that would suggest that he entered Princeton as a freshman in 1928 or so. JF could have been a 16 year old freshman in 1928 (and 1912 + 16 = 1928). With the stock market crash and other events, many college students did not graduate in the customary 4 years or at all. Graduating in only 5 years might have been a pretty good feat back then. Gideon's Trumpet

edit

Why no inclusion of this film? Made for tv, but a significant production of a significant story. He played Supreme Court Justice-to-be Abe Fortas. Toyokuni3 (talk) 02:56, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

"—or, indeed, actors of any ethnicity—"

And that's not the only one. Encyclopedias should be free of emotion, bias, personal feelings, etc. Skaizun (talk) 17:34, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
