Lyza Bosselmann (born July 27, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She is from Flagstaff, Arizona.

College career

Bosselmann attended Gonzaga University where she played as goalkeeper for the university.[1] In the 2023 season, she started all of Gonzaga's 18 matches and posted 10 shutouts.[2] Over Bosselmann's four years, she allowed the fewest number of goals (47) in program history.[1] She earned All-West Region and First Team All-WCC honors in her final season at Gonzaga and was also named Academic All-District and Academic All-WCC.[3]

Club career

In March 2023, Bosselmann was the 28th overall pick in the 2023 NWSL College Draft by the Washington Spirit.[3] She signed a two-year contract with an option for 2025 and is the backup keeper behind Aubrey Kingsbury.[4]
