Oreonectes translucens is a species of cyprinid of the genus Oreonectes.[1] It inhabits the Xia'ao Cave in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.[1] Described in 2006, it is considered harmless to humans.[1] Unsexed males have a maximum length of 4.6 centimetres (1.8 in).[1] It has 11 dorsal soft rays, 9 anal soft rays and 36 vertebrae.[1] It has not been classified on the IUCN Red List.[1]
