Ssemanda Timothy known professionally as Royal Jeff (born 22nd February 2002) is a Ugandan Hip Hop and Afrobeat artiste from Kampala, Uganda.[1] Royal Jeff is the Executive director of JP production company, a music record label where he is also signed as a recording artiste since 2023.[2][3]
Career
[edit]Royal Jeff started professional music with a collaboration called Tukuba party featuring Feffe Bussi in 2023 produced and mastered by Dmario. This song introduced Jeff to the music industry and gave him wider publicity in Uganda and central region (Kampala).[4] Royal Jeff later released a second song titled Abakazi abakadde.[5]
He started his professional music career as a solo artist before starting his own music record label called JP production company. In 2024, Royal Jeff released a single that has made him more famous in Uganda and other parts of East Africa known as Mata konko.[6]
Philanthropy
[edit]In 2023, Royal Jeff started a charity foundation known as Mityana Child Foundation aimed at helping the needy people in the different regions of Uganda and East Africa. In January 2024, Jeff through his foundation donated food and other scholastic materials to people of Karamoja region in Northern Uganda an area that has been hit by too much sunshine and can hardly grow plants.[7]
