Updates
[edit]I'm expanded a bunch of the sections and added another image, further updates still need to be made though. Nick carson (talk) 04:11, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Interesting contribution
[edit]I removed this bit of text, which was inserted directly after the sentence that claimed the living conditions were bad. Make of it what you will:
Robyn Cassidy was sent to the convent in 1963 & after 3 months Sister Euphrasia, the head nun, asked her why she behaved badly & refused to go home! Robyn asked the nun if she could stay till Christmas & if so she would settle down & behave herself. I was Robyn Cassidy & I loved the convent & the nuns. The food was delicious, plentiful & nourishing. We worked in the Laundry during the day quite happily -the hours were not long. We were given tuition in sewing & grooming. We played sport, were given Drama & Dance Teachers & put on plays for our parents. We were taken to the beach on hot days. Our windows were open at nights & the sea air blew on our faces. Our beds were soft & cosy. I learnt so much from those wonderful nuns -they changed my life. When I went home after Christmas I made a deal with my mother that I would behave myself if she would drive me to Abbotsford on Sundays so we could take out an Auxiliary for tea & cake -which we did! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.151.163.161 (talk) 04:25, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
