Lebanese? Syrian?
[edit]I don't see the point of calling him "Lebanese", when he called himself "Syrian". It seems ahistorical to use (in retrospect) a term that did not exists as a politically or administratively recognized entity at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7081:5D07:E706:60E9:646C:B7C9:C20C (talk) 19:54, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- I totally agree with you, however we would need sources which connect him to the designation "Syrian". For instance Salloum Mokarzel came from Mount Lebanon, however in 1926 (6 years after the creation of "Lebanon" and the nationalistic designation "Lebanese") he calls his new publication The Syrian World. When I post sources the comment doesn’t appear! Dony rickles (talk) 14:35, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
