The earlier argosy biplane is bizarely covered far better than I could do in German on Wikipedia, but not as far as I can see, English. Didn't really feel competent to translate.

Okay, we've ended up with two articles about the same aircraft, (though stanangely referenced to each other). I'l shift the guts of this one to the other and try and track down enough material to create an nglish language article abou the early argosy on this page. Armstrong Whitworth AW.660 Argosy.

I think the author meant to say that this was Armstrong Whitworth's first airliner design, not aircraft. They had definitely built several aircraft before the Argosy, for example, two seat bombers and observation aircraft used in the first world war.
