All I can find on Sketoe
[edit]This article represents all of the information I could find on Mr. Sketoe; if anyone knows anything more about him, Captain Breare, or Newton/Dale County in general during the Civil War, please feel free to contribute! - Ecjmartin (talk) 15:16, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
New Images and Info
[edit]I added a couple of images I took a week or two ago while I was in Newton; also, if anyone can find evidence to confirm Sketoe's alleged military service, I'd love to have it. I was unable to locate anything, myself. I'd appreciate any information anyone out there might have, that can be referenced. - Ecjmartin (talk) 00:33, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
I've added the alternative versions behind Sketoe's murder and other alternative details for this story; if anyone can provide further referenced information, please feel free to contribute, or send it my way! Thanks! - Ecjmartin (talk) 02:59, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
I was stationed at nearby Fort Rucker late 60's & early 70's. I have visited the "hanging hole" several times and it was always visible. I was sad when, on a visit, I saw that a road and bridge had been built over it. Maybe a hole will appear in the roadway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dott Smith (talk • contribs) 21:17, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- LMAO--now wouldn't that be something?!?? - Ecjmartin (talk) 00:13, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
