and struck "biggest and" as unverifiably vague. Big in what sense? Maybe it's me, but i ask myself that, and all i picture is gross obesity.

Stateful firewall / first commercially available firewall product
[edit]Really? I thought that, according to the firewall article:
- stateful firewall: 'From 1980-1990 three colleagues from AT&T Bell Laboratories, Dave Presetto, Howard Trickey, and Kshitij Nigam developed the second generation of firewalls [...] generally referred to as a 'stateful firewall' '
- first commercially available firewall product: 'first commercial product [...] released by DEC who named it the SEAL product. [...] first major sale was on June 13, 1991'; and how about TIS Gauntlet?
After a couple of years working with firewalls (including CheckPoint ones), I think there's a vague tendancy to propagate the impression that CheckPoint invented just about everything firewall-wise. BTW, this reminds me of another major player, regurlarly credited of inventing everything computer-wise... --Olivier Debre 15:48, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:GilS.jpg
[edit]Image:GilS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

My addition
[edit]I just added a brief mention of Gil Shwed's recent work, with several independent citations. I work for Check Point Software, but am committed to Wikipedia's standards of verification. Feedback welcome. Cindy (talk) 19:18, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
Birth date correction
[edit]The birth date listed was incorrect. I have many sources (including the Hebrew Wikipedia) indicating that Gil Shwed was born in 1968; I don't have the specific date, and it's my understanding that he would prefer not to publish the specific date. I've corrected the date in the article, just listing the year. -Cindy (talk) 19:03, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
