[edit]- I am currently working on improving all of the soap couple articles on Wikipedia. While I, of course, understand the fact that articles on Wikipedia shouldn't only provide plot summaries, all of these soap opera couple articles will be worked on and formatted to fit Wikipedia policy, which is why Wikipedia: WikiProject Soap Operas exists, and is why I ask other editors to hold off on nominating these soap opera couple articles for deletion. To go around and delete these soap opera popular and or supercouple articles is not the answer. Clean-up is. I will get around to fixing up this article, in which will be soon. This article is now updated with real-world context and notability
[edit]- I have updated this article to include real-world context, such as the writing of this couple and the cultural impact that this couple had on the world. This article is no longer in violation of Wikipedia policy, well, at least not one that would require its deletion from Wikipedia. Article is fixed up. Flyer22 00:51, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
GA Review
[edit]This review is transcluded from Talk:Jesse Hubbard and Angie Baxter/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
- Use en dashes for year ranges such as for the section titles, including "1981-1982" per WP:DASH
- "Jacob and Angie" is completely unreferenced
- "Hubbard -- originally from Center City, Pennsylvania -- first" – use em dashes instead, per WP:DASH
- "stressed to the producers of the show that she wants none" → "stressed to the producers of the show that she wanted none" – keep the same tense
- " Storyline" section is far too long and needs to be cut down
- The table in "Family and relationships" has an extra column on the right side that is completely empty. Remove it.
- "website inthe80s.com's list " – remove the external link
- For the quote in "Guest-starring and magazines", use {{quote}}
- The final paragraph in "Specific impact on viewers" needs a reference
Because of the above points, this article does not meet the Good Article criteria and has therefore been failed. Feel free to renominate it in the future once it has been improved. Gary King (talk) 04:31, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
This article should not have been listed for GA yet
[edit]I knew that this article was not ready for GA yet and had already informed the editor who did so not to nominate any more articles I have greatly improved without consulting with me first. This is frustrating seeing articles I have worked a great deal on and know aren't quite ready for GA or FA being randomly nominated for GA. Hopefully, something like this, by that editor, will not happen again.
In any case, thanks for the comment. Flyer22 (talk) 22:23, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
