terrorist

[edit]

Shrike, can you like not do this reflexively? if there is some dispute that this group was not "terrorist" then sure use militant. I am unaware of any such dispute here. We call Al-Qaeda a terrorist group. If there isnt a dispute about that term that is what we use. If there is then yes we should not use value laden labels. But that is a NPOV issue, and without there being a dispute then there is no issue. You dont have to reflexively stick up for any Jewish or Israeli group. Removing terrorist from this one in particular is just baffling. nableezy - 16:56, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are multiple source that calls Hamas a terrorist group and yet we don't call it in such way unattributed . Al-Queda was recognized by UNSC as terrorist organisation so that might be a reason why the article consider it terrorist. Does organisation was ever in any terror list of any country? I have no objection if you add sources that describe the group as terrorist and attribute them as per policy -Shrike (talk) 19:10, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but there are also sources that dispute that for Hamas. Sources call Hamas militant, or the government of Gaza, and yes some call them terrorist. But it is not an undisputed claim. Are there any sources that dispute that for this group? nableezy - 19:15, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And Shrike, just look at what you are doing here. This isn't a group that committed acts of terror against Palestinians. You are literally defending a group that tried bombing Israeli targets. I dont really give enough of a shit to spend much more time here, but you are quite literally, with an old pal supporting, calling attacks on civilian and government targets in Israel "militant" because of Hamas lol. nableezy - 19:17, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pedazur source for example don't use "terror" to describe the group but rather "underground" this source too [1]
I don't defend any group only consistency and wiki policy their attacks are clearly described anyone can read and decide if the actions are terrorist or not --Shrike (talk) 19:21, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
One thing not mentioned is that the group was officially declared to be a terrorist organization under the anti-terror law passed after the Bernadotte assassination, and several members were tried before a military court and found guilty. I'll add it. Zerotalk 01:25, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Malchut is not "kingdom"

[edit]

Malchut (as opposed to Mamlacha/Mamlechet-) is not exactly kingdom, its meaning in this context it's more like kingship or kinghood. I don't know English so well so I don't know what is the exact translation, but I'm quite sure it is not "kingdom". פעמי-עליון (talk) 20:38, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
