[edit]Manually reversed mitred and white-eyed parakeet species epithet changes by Pvmoutside - though the feminine "a" ending appears appropriate for the genus Psittacara, the masculine "us" is the ending used in the 2016 version of Clements (cited as the source for this page's taxonomy) for all Psitticara specific epithets having a gender ending. July 29, 2020 revisions
[edit]This update performed the following:
- Change the English names of families to those used by SACC.
- Change the English name of American comb-duck to Comb duck.
- Revise the genus of Golden-rumped euphonia in Finches.
- Revise the sequence of species in genera Euphonia and Chlorophonia in Finches.
- Revise the genus of Blue-and-yellow tanager.
- Revise references, counts, and text to reflect these changes.

December 14, 2020 revision
[edit]This revision performed the following per the SACC:
- Delete the no-longer-applicable note from dusky-legged guan.
- Merge southern caracara into crested caracara (Falcons).
- Revise references to reflect the above.

August 2021 revision
[edit]The following revisions are made to reflect the August 24, 2021 update by the South American Classification Committee of the American Ornithological Society.
- Revise the English name of Gallinago paraguaiae.
- Add Magellanic snipe Gallinago magellanica, piratic flycatcher Legatus leucophaius, rough-legged tyrannulet Phyllomyias burmeisteri, greenish tyrannulet Phyllomyias virescens, and masked water-tyrant Fluvicola nengeta.
- Revise the English names of Euscarthmus flycatchers.
- Replace red-eyed vireo with chivi vireo Vireo chivi.
- Revise the English name of Diuca diuca.
- Revise tags.
- Revise text, counts, and references accordingly.
