Phylo (video game) → Phylo — Phylo (video game) should be the primary topic for disambiguation. Google web search for Phylo brings up the game's page much earlier than Phylo (mythology). Phylo (mythology) has only a wrong link to Phylo (video game) under 'What links here'. Though a game, Phylo (video game) has a strong academic basis which should be taken into account. - Support. The game seems to have attracted more attention than this very minor figure of Greek mythology. Primary subject should be determined by cultural significance. Dimadick (talk) 10:27, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose; WP:RECENTISM is set against modern ephemera taking the primary position. Snowman (talk) 23:39, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- I would normally agree with WP:RECENTISM, but the target mythology article is an orphaned, single-sentence stub with no links to it nor any references. WP:PRIMARYTOPIC suggests using 'What links here' to determine primary topic, which Phylo (game) has far more of, as well as search engine results, with the only result coming back from "Phylo Homer" or related searches being a single line in The Odyssey with no further substance. This is in contrast to "Phylo game", which yields multiple results from well-known news sources and comparisons to Foldit and Rosetta@Home, two already established articles in computational biology. - Ecruos (talk) 03:54, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose replace with a disambiguation page at the primary location. 64.229.101.119 (talk) 04:59, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Please see WP:TWODABS, a disambiguation page for a term that has only one other secondary topic is unnecessary and should use disambiguation links.- Ecruos (talk) 05:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC)- Just saw your edit to Phylo, actually, yeah, a disambiguation page might be better. - Ecruos (talk) 16:01, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- This. Is. Sparta. Greek ancient literature and mythology is one of the fundamental roots of western civilisation. As such it is one the core purpose on an Encyclopedia to preserve this cultural heritage (see "educational value" in wp:primarytopic). The Illiad has been sung for OVER NINE THOUSAND years. walk victor falk talk 14:00, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
