Goal and Appearances Count
[edit]I don't know what it is with people on this site that don't get it. Appearances and goals count only towards domestic league matches only. Not friendlies, Champions League games, or Spanish Cup games. Again, appearances and goals count only towards domestic league matches only. Not friendlies, Champions League games, or Spanish Cup games. Once more if you didn't understand the first two times, appearances and goals count only towards domestic league matches only. Not friendlies, Champions League games, or Spanish Cup games. Need it again? If I see someone else change his stats again to include friendlies, Champions League, and Spanish Cup games, then I will say it again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Outsiderdf (talk • contribs) 17:43, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
"FIFAS highly ranked Rafa Marquez as the third most famous soccer star player in the world and earning a paycheck of 10 to 15 million dollars a year."
Can we get a source for this? It seems highly dubious to me considering the vast number of soccer superstars in the world, many like Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, and David Beckham having a very high profile through product endorsements. Angel of Mons 16:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Red Cards
[edit]Is this a reliable source as to why he tends to get red carded in very important matches? 5 times!! http://www.elsiglodetorreon.com.mx/noticia/413792.html
This article is written more like his agent's press release than an encyclopedia article. His discipline record is as famous as he is, IMO, and the evidence of "why he tends to get red-carded" is available in numerous videos on You Tube. Avocats (talk) 20:50, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Rafael Marquez goal vs Finland
[edit]I feel like Marquez's goal vs Finland should count to bring him up to 16 goals with the national team seeing how on FIFA.com they have his profile saying he has 16 goals with the national team, I don't think it matters if it was an unofficial match because he scored for his national team against another national team. It would not count if he had scored a goal against a club team playing for Mexico's national team or vice versa, but since both are the representatives of each country it does count as one of his national team goals. It says he has 16 goals if you go to this link http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/players/player=178119/index.html.Vegeta87 (talk) 01:26, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- The match is not listed in the Mexico's profile of FIFA.com
