26 groups?
[edit]I am interested to find out what differentiates each group from the next, do they have a different name? or territory? (i.e. Similar to the Maori people of New Zealand's Iwi groups). Can anyone shed some light on this? Perhaps this article might benefit from lisiting the name of each group. Slowbro 11:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- In the 1930s Tindale operating through the University of South Australia prepared a series of detailed maps by visiting Aboriginal groups around Australia and interviewing them about so called "tribal" names and territories. Although it contains some errors the maps are still the best we have - and have been taken by the Aboriginal people themselves in relation to country. Have a look at http://www.samuseum.sa.gov.au/page/default.asp?site=2&page=TIN_Tribal John D. Croft 15:18, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
