Source: On 28 September, a Bend Bulletin article reported the Milli Fire had burned 24,079 acres (97.44 km2). Most of the sources mention the fire being in the Three Sisters Wilderness. Here’s an example from a Bend Bulletin article dated 22 Aug 2017: “The Milli Fire near Sisters is burning westward in the Three Sisters Wilderness … the Milli Fire was most active on the north side of Black Crater and was observed burning downhill near Lava Lake camp and North Matthieu Lake, all in the Three Sisters Wilderness.”

  • Hook looks good, I have bolded it as per norm. I have to say I am not sure the image used is the most appropriate. I would prefer the image used in the infobox or this image. The article is long enough and well-sourced, as well as being new enough. I'm not satisfied with the image sourcing, links should be provided to the individual image and not the gallery. • Added the two recommended images above for comparison; also as recommended, changed image sources to reference individual on-line images vice using Forest Service photo image page.--Orygun (talk) 06:00, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks for improving the image sourcing. I prefer the third image, but I see no problems with using either the second or third image. Jon Kolbert (talk) 16:02, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
  • @Jon Kolbert: you should provide a review that explicitly confirms that the five main DYK criteria have been met. So far you have covered newness, length, and sourcing. Please also indicate whether the article meets inline hook cite, neutrality, and close paraphrasing criteria. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 12:39, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Hook is 156 characters in length, has in-line citation and is neutral. No close paraphrasing concerns, only matches are proper names. Jon Kolbert (talk) 14:27, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Restoring your tick. Yoninah (talk) 17:25, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
