Years in navigation boxes

See WP:NAVBOX) for the importance of chronological order in navigation boxes. The years reinforce chronology and are useful as navigational aids. The years do not add any significant clutter or vertical space. A number of editors have added the years to this template believing they are useful. That should speak to the potential value of their inclusion. Also, the decade ranges appear cluttered and distracting and do not help with navigation, respectfully.
