The website stated here does not give any technical explanation or even a simple mention whatsoever to the status of Papiamento and Saramaccan. It doesn´t give any simple technical explanation for the inclusion or not of Papiamento and Saramaccan as creoles with Portuguese origin or influence. It´s just a simple and basic description of already known and deadbeat concepts. Books like "Kiss of a Slave" of Frank Martinus Arion (Antillean native from Curaçao) atests the Afro-Portuguese origin of the Papiamento creole, theory now predominant in the Dutch territories of the Carribean. A brief look on all websites from the area discussing the origin of Papiamento will atest that. Writer and poet Ellis Juliana (another Antillean native) supports this theory discussed in Arion´s book. Emerson
