The National Silver Haired Congress (abbr. NSHC or NatlSCH) is an American nonpartisan advocacy organization which supports the interested of the older and aging members of the United States. It is structurally modeled after the United States Congress, having a bicameral voting body with elected or appointed representatives from each of the states and territories of the United States. Although the group was endorsed by the United States senate on August 2, 1996, the body of the NSCH has no bona fide legislative authority in either Federal or State government. The organization gained notoriety for its advocacy for the implementation of silver alerts in many states, however the NSHC has also advocated for improvements to social security benefits, and for better representation of the aging population since their inception.
