Hello. I am typhoonchaser, a student of Sha Tin College. I am part of WikiProject Tropical cyclones, and I try to help if I can. I also try to fix the messy Geography of Hong Kong articles, and I have an interest in starting more articles about rivers in Hong Kong. I will try to start more articles about things in Sheung Shui and take as many photos of Sheung Shui as possible (if I have time), because I live there and it is very convenient. Articles are lacking there.
I support Man Utd and F.C. United and West Brom and Fulham and Wigan and I can't decide.
You probably don't need to visit my user page on Wikimedia Commons, but you can have a look at the photos I have taken here.
Dammit. IB.

Countries I have visited

Europe
[edit]Been there three times. I've been to England and Scotland but not Northern Ireland or Wales. Rooney! Rooney! Rooney! Manchester was particularly lovely, even though we lost to Inter Milan 2-3. Great game.
Bern, Geneva. Spent 6 or 7 days there.
Vaduz. Spent an afternoon there, I think.
Within the confines of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - airplane transit.
Budapest and Szentendre. Spent 2 days there.
Vienna and Salzburg. Ate some delicious Mozartkugel there. Went up the Donauturm as well.
Prague and Český Krumlov. Beautiful castles and good Bohemian food.
Dresden, Berlin and Potsdam. Visited the Berlin Wall and many castles and palaces and museums as well, an example being Checkpoint Charlie.
Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, Toledo... Toledo was especially beautiful with the old town and Barcelona, seemed like an Antoni Gaudí tour of Casa Milà, Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló...
Lisbon, stayed there for two nights, the additional night was due to a British Airways cancellation of a Lisbon-London flight. Nice place, Portugal... C. Ronaldo forever! |
Asia
[edit]Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Huizhou, Dongguan, Sanshui, Panyu, Zhongshan, Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing. I live in Hong Kong. Went to Guangzhou and Sanshui once each to meet relatives. Shenzhen... every few months, probably. Visited Huizhou for sightseeing.
Keelung, a port-of-call on the Costa Allegra cruise. Very friendly people.
Once, when I was very young, to Cebu. I don't remember anything from it, unfortunately.
Twice, first Kuala Lumpur (western side), and the second time Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Once, Bangkok and Pattaya. The beaches are so nice.
Hokkaido. Hakodate, Otaru, Sapporo, and Noboribetsu. Okinawa on the Costa Allegra cruise, a very interesting small island with amazing views and clear blue skies...
A CAS Week trip; we went to Pyongyang, Kaesong and the Joint Security Area in the DMZ. It was an amazing tour, paying our respects to Kim Il-sung in the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, watching the Mass Games, going up the Juche Tower to admire the views, singing the Chinese national anthem to North Korean students and them singing their anthem back, cappuccino in probably the only coffee shop in Pyongyang, staying in the Yanggakdo Hotel... a truly and awesomely memorable experience.
For about 15 seconds, inside the blue bunker across the border of North and South Korea at the DMZ. Come on, that must count!
The Củ Chi tunnels were quite amazing. The bustling Ho Chi Minh City is also nice to visit, one cannot miss the motorbike armies along the streets or the huge rainforest trees or the food... Really wish I stayed in Sheraton Saigon, though our hotel was already very nice. |
