The company is new and has not been mentioned, this is not a good enough reason to delete the request for a quick return of the article קליימן איתי (talk) 14:43, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, קליימן איתי! Having an article draft declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there! Qcne (talk) 14:41, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@קליימן איתי on the contrary, that is a perfectly valid reason. Wikipedia only hosts content about topics that are notable. If the company has not been mentioned in multiple, independent, reliable sources then there can be no article.
Let me know if you have any questions. Qcne (talk) 14:44, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The company is not mentioned because it works modestly. You give space to companies that compete with us. You are against the law of a free market on the Internet. Really offensive and unfair קליימן איתי (talk) 14:51, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again @קליימן איתי. Wikipedia has many millions of articles of which tens of thousands are poor quality. As we are a volunteer project no one has gotten around to updating or deleting them yet.
We certainly don't want to add more unsourced promotional content to the encyclopaedia, like your draft.
Also note that Wikipedia is not a business directory. We are an encyclopaedia of notable topics.
If the company you work for becomes notable then someday someone will make an article about it.
Remember that having an article isn't always a good thing: you would not control the article and it can contain controversy and criticism if backed up by reliable sources.
I would also recommend reading the short essay Wikipedia:When your boss tells you to edit Wikipedia.
Finally, please be careful using language like "You are against the law of a free market on the Internet" which might be interpreted as a legal threat, which is not permitted.
Let me know if you have any questions, and if there are any poor quality articles of your competitors let me know so I can tag them appropriately. Qcne (talk) 14:54, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is no legal threat, I'm saying that I think it's unfair that companies that compete with me appear on the site and the friend I'm writing about is deleted, so I'm writing an article from a neutral position without any advertising information, just history and what the company does without any advertising from the side. I can put at once therefore I ask to return my articl קליימן איתי (talk) 15:02, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@קליימן איתי Your draft had zero sources, which breaks our #1 policy on Wikipedia:Verifiability. Without sources there is no chance there can be an article.
Again, feel free to link excising articles about companies which you think are poor quality. Qcne (talk) 15:04, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm preparing an article that covers everything and the whole company from the most reliable face-to-face source קליימן איתי (talk) 15:13, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Remember we're looking for at least three sources that are each:
- independent, so not from the company's own website or from press releases.
- reliable, so not from forums or Facebook.
- provide significant coverage, so not just routine business listings. Qcne (talk) 15:18, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Which security company brings you sources beyond company websites or newspaper articles? קליימן איתי (talk) 15:26, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
have no idea, @קליימן איתי. If those sources do not exist then there can be no article, I am afraid. Qcne (talk) 15:27, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have several Canadian references to the company in press and internet sources unrelated to the company. Will these references and sources be enough to approve my article? קליימן איתי (talk) 15:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea without seeing them, @קליימן איתי. Qcne (talk) 15:33, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would be happy to send you the references and articles to look at and understand קליימן איתי (talk) 15:34, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to edit the draft above that I declined - declining means you can continue to improve and re-submit if you feel ready. Then if you like, ping me here when you've saved those changes so I can take a look. Qcne (talk) 15:38, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Resubmit the article with the references below and you will take a look? קליימן איתי (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't re-submit it for review yet, but Publish (akin to "Save") your changes and then let me know. Qcne (talk) 15:42, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's good? קליימן איתי (talk) 15:50, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's from your own YouTube channel so fails WP:INDEPENDENT and does not provide WP:SIGCOV. Qcne (talk) 15:54, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And if I bring you the article from the official website of CBC or CP 24, which are considered news channels in Canada, will it catch on? קליימן איתי (talk) 15:58, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If the article provides significant coverage of your company, then perhaps. Qcne (talk) 16:00, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  1. A database listing, so not significant coverage.
  2. A primary source, which can be used, but doesn't provide notability.
  3. Another database listing.
  4. A third database listing.

Isn't an encyclopedia article good enough? קליימן איתי (talk) 16:16, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
None of those sources were encyclopaedia articles? Qcne (talk) 16:18, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what I meant, I said that all these sources are enough to let the article be published and stay on the site קליימן איתי (talk) 16:20, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry for misunderstanding: no, not a single source you have provided is enough to show the company passes notability. No article can be possible if that is all you have. Qcne (talk) 16:24, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But all the articles I sent you are on leading news sites in Canada and they definitely say explicitly the name of the company and the awards the company received and the things it does. I think this shows that the company does exist and works קליימן איתי (talk) 16:27, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not looking for evidence the company exists: I am looking for evidence the company is notable, using the Wikipedia definition of notability which you can find at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Qcne (talk) 16:29, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just giving general information about the company and certain places that you can read and understand about the company. I don't see what's wrong with it needing to be deleted and why isn't that enough? קליימן איתי (talk) 16:38, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If the article is published the company will be essential קליימן איתי (talk) 16:30, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure what you mean, could you re-phrase? Qcne (talk) 16:32, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How will the company stand out if it does not appear on social media and there is information about it on the encyclopedia website? קליימן איתי (talk) 16:37, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just giving general information about the company and certain places that you can read and understand about the company. I don't see what's wrong with it needing to be deleted and why isn't that enough? קליימן איתי (talk) 16:39, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@קליימן איתי As I have said a few times now, we need to prove notability under the Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) criteria.
Until you can do that, the company does not merit an article.
None of the sources you have provided so far prove notability.
The draft you produced will be deleted in 6 months if you make no edits to it, so feel free to keep working on it over the next few months. If you make edits at least every 6 months it wont be deleted. Qcne (talk) 16:42, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But will people be able to log in and see this draft? קליימן איתי (talk) 16:44, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
People can see the draft if they know where to find it, but it won't be part of the encyclopedia or searchable by outside search engines, no. 331dot (talk) 16:47, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Drafts are not articles, and though publicly available by the link dafts are not indexed by Google. Qcne (talk) 16:47, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How does it help me in that I want to put the company in encyclopaedia that people know about it like people know about different security companies קליימן איתי (talk) 16:51, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am afraid you specifically cannot do that. Qcne (talk) 16:52, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So why can other companies write about themselves and I can't קליימן איתי (talk) 16:54, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They can't. If you're aware of agents of other companies editing about those companies and not declaring it, see WP:PAID for how you can offer your evidence of this. 331dot (talk) 16:55, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Independent volunteer editors have written about companies they deem notable. They likely have no connection to the company.
Wikipedia is not a venue for promotion. Qcne (talk) 16:55, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please click "edit" to edit this page instead of reply, so we can bring the indent back to the left? 331dot (talk) 16:57, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What you describe as your purpose here is the exact definition of promotion. Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell about themselves or otherwise document their existence. If you want others to know about your company, you should pay an advertising agency, not edit Wikipedia. You will need to declare as a paid editor, see WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 17:05, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a place to give "general information" about a company. This is not a directory of companies that exist. We want to know what independent sources choose to say about a company, showing how it meets WP:ORG. 331dot (talk) 16:41, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have articles from Canada's top news sites that's where the company works קליימן איתי (talk) 16:47, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We've already been over those sources and none provide significant coverage. Qcne (talk) 16:48, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Are you employed, by, or otherwise associated with this company? 331dot (talk) 16:42, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's his company, so I presume so - I just haven't told him about CoI yet.. one thing at a time.. Qcne (talk) 16:43, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
what is col? קליימן איתי (talk) 17:08, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Conflict of interest. See WP:COI 331dot (talk) 17:13, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Theroadislong (talk) 17:10, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@קליימן איתי It's really frustrating you re-submitted it for review when I very explicitly told you none of the sources you provided are of any use.
That is quite disruptive and a waste of volunteer time. Qcne (talk) 17:15, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
