Disruptive? RE: John Patrick Bedell
[edit]How are my well supported and referenced edits - done by myself, an IP editor with a varied edit history who uses talk and edit summaries disruptive when what I'm doing is removing blended text which relies entirely on a SPA's interpretation of a blog mirror from 4 years ago and which is entered with neither talk nor summary?99.151.172.170 (talk) 19:46, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. (None was given) It's always nice to see an Editor consider their actions. I would have liked to have seen you do so. Here is my edit:[1] and here is the somewhat unintelligible supposed "undoing of vandalism" you put in its place:[2]. I trust you can see the difference, vandalism my edit was not. _99.151.172.170 (talk) 19:56, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Your name has been mentioned at AN/I[3] with regards to the vandal whose edit you've supported.99.151.172.170 (talk) 20:02, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
John Patrick Bedell
[edit]Hi there,GoneAwayNowAndRetired
Could you possibly restore the shooting section to the John Patrick Bedell article?.
Its protected now so I can't and I wrote a good deal of it! You had it back then this happened DIFF? Most of the story gone! But all the bloggy crap still in. Help!
You may have mistaken what 99.151.172.170 ws doing as they have been reverting a definite edit warrer 97.119.97.118. (who I gave a 3RR warning) Thanks for your time! :-)--220.101.28.25 (talk) 20:17, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Looks like I missed you. The text has been reverted,(by Toitoine I might add!) Sorry to say so, but I feel it's a bit' much to revert Toitoine for alledged vandalism HERE when he started this article! Mistakes are made so let's all Assume Good Faith and be WP:Civil all round (even for those horrid ANON IPs.) We're not all fly by night vandals, check my contribs HERE ;-) --220.101.28.25 (talk) 00:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Bunnell high-scool-schoo jpg.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Bunnell high-scool-schoo jpg.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 04:00, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:ALEAGUEOFTHEIROWN STATICSHOCK.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:ALEAGUEOFTHEIROWN STATICSHOCK.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Stratford-shakespear-festivaltheatre.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Stratford-shakespear-festivaltheatre.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Notice of change
[edit]Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz talk 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

WP:FOUR RFC
[edit]There are two WP:RFCs at WP:FOUR. The first is to conflate issues so as to keep people from expressing meaningful opinions. The second, by me, is claimed to be less than neutral by proponents of the first. Please look at the second one, which I think is much better.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 06:33, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Nomination of List of LiveJournal users for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of LiveJournal users is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of LiveJournal users until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Herostratus (talk) 14:16, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

The file File:State terror logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Willy1018 (talk) 11:22, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Featured article review for The Greencards
[edit]I have nominated The Greencards for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Hog Farm Talk 03:34, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Return JLU.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Return JLU.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
