CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:33, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Welcome to Wikipedia from the Medicine WikiProject!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine (also known as WPMED).
We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing Wikipedia articles are:
- Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on our talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the WPMED talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
- Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. These guidelines typically require recent secondary sources to support information; their application is further explained here. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
- The Wikipedia community includes a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens under the scenes and through the bold, revert, discuss editing cycle. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss them on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.
Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any problems. I wish you all the best on your wiki voyages! ★Gooseflesh12★ (talk) 23:06, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Behzad Azarmju M.D., and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:00, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I'm Vexations. Behzad Azarmju M.D., thanks for creating Passaro's triangle!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article is almost completely copy/pasted from a copyrighted source. Please rewrite it in your own words.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Your page creations
[edit]I notice you have created several pages recently, including Duhamel’s theory. When creating pages, please make sure that there are multiple reliable references, to allow other editors to verify the content on the page, and to demonstrate that the general notability guideline is met. On the page relating to Duhamel's theory, it is unclear who "Duhamel" is or what the theory is in detail. Pages with insufficient detail or explanation risk being deleted; you can work on incomplete pages as WP:Drafts in the draft namespace or your userspace (the link will explain those terms). power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:00, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Demand pacemaker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Discharge (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Software programs for pharmacy workflow management
[edit]Given that Draft:Pharmacy management system was declined twice, your decision to recreate the content as Software programs for pharmacy workflow management was not appropriate. I deleted what I considered the most egregious parts of the article, but for now let the article stand. David notMD (talk) 12:04, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
- The number of prescriptions dispensed in 2016 was 4,450,000,000 in the U.S. and 141,000,000,000 in the world (https://www.statista.com/statistics/238702/us-total-medical-prescriptions-issued/). Almost all went through at least one of the numerous programs that I mentioned their most famous ones. Wikipedia, not only doesn't name even the most used programs, it didn't have a page about such a phenomenon which is a big defect. --Behzad Azarmju M.D. (talk) 10:37, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Behzad Azarmju M.D., you can create articles for those programs if they meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline, and then add a link to those articles from the Pharmacy management system article. However, a good rule of thumb for software articles is to avoid adding a software program to a list unless it already has an article on Wikipedia. Choosing sources, and taking care in citing them
[edit]Would you please start paying attention to WP:MEDRS, and would you PLEASE stop adding bare URL citations that other people need to clean up? It is very easy to format citations. Please take the time to read the note below, and to learn how to do this.
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Jytdog (talk) 18:33, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Conduit
[edit]Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Conduit. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references

Speedy deletion nomination of Learning Blanket
[edit]A tag has been placed on Learning Blanket requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Subject of article does not meet WP:GNG
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". [edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Talk:List of the pharmacy management systems, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 16:39, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to List of the pharmacy management systems does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! [edit]Androgen Insufficiency Syndrome moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Androgen Insufficiency Syndrome, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — Sagotreespirit (talk) 08:00, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
