User talk:Skynorth
Hello, please post messages here! Kernosky talk2me!
Do note, however, that since around 2017 I am no longer exceedingly active on Wikipedia, although I will edit from time to time. I still read Wikipedia and log in regularly, so I will read and reply to any messages sent to me.
Hi, I reverted your edit on Windows 95. There is a comment in the wikitext that explains why. Unfortunately you couldn't see that comment because you used the VisualEditor. You can still see it in the diff, though. —Ruud 14:50, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
OK. Kernosky talk2me! 15:21, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi, Kernosky! It's OK to have red links in articles, so long as they are to topics likely to be notable enough if/when the article is created. Indeed, it's good to have redlinks to unwritten articles because they act as an invitation to people to create those articles. Most articles are created from redlinks. In this particular case, we do have a number of articles about tribes of Aboriginal people so it's reasonable to think that articles written about other tribes would be just as acceptable. For more information, please see WP:REDLINK. Kerry (talk) 22:13, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- However, I think the redlink to the resort is more questionable as to the notability. Kerry (talk) 22:15, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Ok. Should I remove the redlink to the resort? Kernosky talk2me! 16:25, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Volkswagen Polo Mk5, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mexican. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

MfD nomination of Userspace circular redirects
[edit]A page in your userspace, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Userspace circular redirects and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Userspace circular redirects during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- A Certain White Cat chi? 18:49, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Your signature
[edit]Hi there, if you could please modify your current signature to include a link to your user talk page and/or user page, that would be great. As per WP:SIGLINK, this is a requirement of your signature. "Pepper" @ 13:59, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
OK - will do. Skynorth talk2me! 14:21, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
Someone nominated this project for speedy deletion under WP:U1. I've declined the deletion as clearly inappropriate to the page, but I'm not that sure the lingering redirect adds much value, either. Before I nominate it at RfD, I wanted to get your thoughts on it. Would you consider re-nominating it for speedy under WP:G7? GoldenRing (talk) 12:39, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- Yea, thank you. Skynorth talk2me! 13:37, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Removing VBS3 ad label
[edit]Hi Skynorth. You added a "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement" label to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VBS3. I'd like to better understand what you think constitutes "advertising" language in this article. I don't see content on this page that differs significantly from other similar articles about game engines or software. Can you point to specific language that you think qualifies as advertising language?
Thanks, R43flldde3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by R43flldde3 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
It has extensive language from the creators praising the product, the Wikipedia article for the product exclusively covers the product in a positive light, and many references are press releases. - Skynorth/Cosmohey 21:15, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

NARTH page
[edit]Obviously your opinion that my changes on the NARTH page were supposedly unconstructive is arbitrary. I even included a complete list of bibliographic references! You reverted my changes more than once accusing me of vandalism? On what grounds? Based only on your liberal-fascist political correctness? What about the truth? Where are your references? Just because you have a button that can ban me? That's your reference? Totally pathetic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:214B:8140:7F00:ED6F:9B4:A538:874 (talk) 19:18, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
obviously this proves your point to me. i don't have the ability to ban you, i'm not an admin.
thank you for the brilliant information you have given to me, i will now kill myself on wheels for being a Nazi - Skynorth/Cosmohey 19:58, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Please have a look also at the information at this page, which appears every time you edit J. K. Rowling. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:55, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
