Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Rudbar-e Alamut District a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 18:58, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To move a page, you can follow the instructions at Help:Moving a page#How to move a page. If you have trouble with it let me know. ... discospinster talk 19:06, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sarad group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WWGB (talk) 12:50, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Farzaneh Hosseinpour Rajabi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability not evident, fails WP:ACADEMIC

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Speedy deletion nomination of Enayatollah Atashi

[edit]

Hello Soroush90gh,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Enayatollah Atashi for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, SajjadF (talk) 17:55, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Akbar Alemi

[edit]

Hello, Soroush90gh,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Akbar Alemi should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Akbar Alemi .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Why exactly do you insist on removing links to Next Level (Aligator album) from the infobox on Kiss My B-ass (and vice versa)? Those links are correctly supposed to be there, and you haven't provided any legitimate reason for them not to be — so you need to either explain why you're doing it or stop it. Hello Soroush90gh,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, International Journal of Civil Engineering, may be copied from http://www.iust.ac.ir/ijce/page.php?slct_pg_id=65&sid=1&slc_lang=en. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 09:46, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Hi Soroush90gh,

I have Iranian relatives. For most part, I am generally interested in history related topics (especially Iranian history), however I wanted to write about the Iran-Iraq War because it was a war that was vastly underreported and often misunderstood outside of Iran. In a sense, it is very much a forgotten war. Most of its military operations, like Karbala 5 (the largest land battle since World War II, involving hundreds of thousands of soldiers and costing tens of thousands of lives) are virtually unknown, and I hoped to shed light on those battles. With so much conflicting information and vague/politicized reporting from all sides, editing articles from that war is not as easy task.

I glad you've appreciated my edits, thank you. Partridgeinapeartree (talk) 05:54, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Election opinion polls 2013

[edit]

Hi Sorush, If it wasn't your good self, I'm wondering if you know who was doing the deleted Wikipedia page on the Iranian opinion polls for the Pres election (not the IPOS poll). This was a contentious page and was eventually removed some days before the vote. I am hoping that whoever was posting it has an archived copy of the latest version. The fact is that, if you ignored the obviously silly polls, the rest of them gave a rather good prediction of the outcome and the final order and – apart from the Rouhani surge, which happened after the page was deleted – share of the vote. My memory is that the polls showed Rouhani doing well from early June (e.g. the Esfahan visit of 4 June), and reflected good performances in debates 2 & 3, features that the IPOS poll did not pick up. The article Mohammad Jamshidi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Although it has been suggested that this makes a 'creditable assertion' of the subject's notability, this is not reflected in the references, which are not references at all. It is effectively an unsourced BLP.

What's the problem of these articles? These are basketball players of a national team, a team which was ranked first in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship. Isn't it enough to be notable? Photos

[edit]

Please keep in mind basic articles should contain only significant photos, not ones which you like. Even American governmental study says scaft was favored by women after revolution, while you desperately try to present otherwise. Only "forced" part in story was scarf ban by Pahlavi dictatorship. --Qizilbash123 (talk) 08:44, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to reflect whole of the reality in that page. Unfortunately, your edits are based on your ideological views. The "American Study" is not a criterion for editing in the WP. We have to reflect the reality. Soroush90gh (talk) 09:27, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, actually your edits are based on ideological views. I'm neither conservative or monarchist, but I still replaced Women's day photo by more significant revolution photo, and on same basis I replaced Mossadegh by Pahlavi since he ruled much longer. Regarding scarf itself, there are dozens of books which confirm scarf was vastly favored during revolution, and only few femals who studied outside of Iran were against. --Qizilbash123 (talk) 09:32, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you're not aware of reality, let me explain you: there has been a discussion by Iranian politicans about scarfs and traditional dress code, and all sides voted in favor - Shia islamists saw it as hijab, and secular nationalists argued it's even older (ancient and Zoroastrian). Even Marxists were in favor, you can see Marjam Rajavi today speaking against Islamic Republic but wearing a scarf. Attacks against scarf mostly came from exiled monarchist bigots and domestic teenaged wannabe Lady Gagas. Few thousand can not speak for 35 million women. --Qizilbash123 (talk) 09:44, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I think the reality is recorded here and not in your imaginary referendums. Please watch this video: [[1]]. Soroush90gh (talk) 09:52, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some information

[edit]

You are doing good work on wikipedia. I have some advices for you. Whenever you request a admin for the protection of wikipedia page like you did here[2], make sure that you have took steps to avoid such circumstances. It includes:-

  • Alerting user - that why their content is not eligible for wikipedia.
  • Discussing - it should be usually done on the talk page of the article, but you can also carry out on the user's talk page.
  • Warning - you can warn the user that what type of sanction or block they can face if they continue with the same objectionable editing style.

I had informed Qizilbash123 that they should not add unsourced material especially when it is concerned with a WP:BLP.[3] Link can be used for addressing the user's conduct in future. Thank you. OccultZone (Talk) 02:53, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at My Stealthy Freedom. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 01:15, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

About the page My Stealthy Freedom, from the first days I had provided neutral resources to prove. I used websites which belong to both sides. I didn't wrote any single sentence without verified resource such as the NY times, the Guardian and ... . But he changes everything. The title was changed to "Iranians' view"!! Is it a neutral change? I asked him, is there any referendum which shows all of Iranian views? And he insisted on his dogmatic view: "wrong - it's the Iranian view. When I say Iranian it implies Iranians living in Iran, not some Westernized immigrants". You see all of our conversations here. I have inserted something from Time website: [4] and he called me a liar. You have blocked me and it really makes me disappointed. I have never been blocked. It was the first time, but I'm hopeful that you unblock me. If not, I would be so hopeless about WP. Thanks Soroush90gh (talk) 10:17, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You're blocked for edit warring; you'll need to address that in any unblock request. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:48, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Ways to improve 2015 FIBA Asia Championship

[edit]

Hi, I'm KGV. Soroush90gh, thanks for creating 2015 FIBA Asia Championship!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_FIBA_Asia_Championship#

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. KillaGorillaV (Talk) 22:11, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tarafdaar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence that this album meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines as spelled out in WP:ALBUM or WP:Notability. But for the fact that there is an article about the artist, this would be "speedily deletable" under criteria A9: "No indication of importance (musical recordings)."

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:38, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mohsen Chavoshi - 13.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mohsen Chavoshi - 13.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:05, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.springer.com/environment/journal/13762. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
