Edit war

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Gordon K. Bush Airport shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Gordon K. Bush Airport, you may be blocked from editing. HkCaGu (talk) 23:44, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Royal Air Force Passenger Service

[edit]

Hello, Sparkyb10123,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Royal Air Force Passenger Service should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Royal Air Force Passenger Service .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 22:33, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013

Information icon Hello, I'm Jetstreamer. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Flag carrier, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Capital Hill or Capitol Hill ?

[edit]

Although I opposed your specific proposed RM of Capital Hill, Saipan, I feel that the issue of whether the capital of the Northern Mariana Islands is "Capital Hill" or "Capitol Hill" is not settled. I hope the discussion can continue, so please weigh in at Talk:Capital Hill, Saipan if you care. —  AjaxSmack  22:58, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

American Eagle to Envoy

[edit]

I think you are jumping the gun a little too fast. The new name is not in effect yet and the name change will not take place until March 2014 per http://www.upi.com/Business_News/2014/01/15/American-Eagle-Airlines-to-get-a-new-name-Envoy/UPI-13481389815252/. The name change is only announced. 68.119.73.36 (talk) 07:40, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have bought the matter to the article talk page. Please discuss there. Thanks! 68.119.73.36 (talk) 02:44, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

January 2014

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Flag carrier, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jetstreamer Talk 18:02, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Airport names

[edit]

I undid your move at Akron–Canton Airport, per WP:COMMONNAME, after verifying that that short name is at least twice as common in books and web hits as the official name. Please read WP:COMMONNAME and be aware that we do not have a strong preference for official names. Some of your other moves should be reviewed in light of that guideline. Dicklyon (talk) 01:28, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted a few more, including one you've been called on before. Please slow down, and use the WP:RM process when you have a potentially controversial move you want to do. Dicklyon (talk) 01:37, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fresh Air Aviation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. N4 (talk) 22:24, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the above article. It was a clear case of an A7 speedy deletion as it stood. DES (talk) 00:27, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
However, sparkyb10123, if you think you could edit Fresh Air Aviation so that it demonstrates notability, as per WP:CORP, then I will restore it for you in the Draft: namespace, or in a userspace sub-page if you wish. Just drop me a note with such a request. DES (talk) 00:12, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, your argument against speedy deletion on the talk page was: "...it is no less important than other articles like it.". That argument almost never works, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. However, I did propose the other article you linked as an example for deletion also, so youa re not being singled out. DES (talk) 00:27, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

An article's talk page is not for asking questions about the subject of the article

[edit]

Information icon Please stop using talk pages such as Talk:2014 Winter Olympics for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article; not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Speedy deletion nomination of Andorra la Vella Heliport

[edit]

Hello Sparkyb10123,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Andorra la Vella Heliport for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 22:39, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove CSD tags

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy delete WP:CSD tags from articles as you did with Andorra la Vella Heliport. Likewise maintenance tags should only be removed if the problem has been addressed. I am writing this out of deference to your request not to issue formal warnings. Thank you for your cooperation. -Ad Orientem (talk) 23:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Evansville IceMen

[edit]

Thank you for your recent edits to the subject of the Evansville IceMen. However, while the move has been approved, it is yet to take place so the IceMen are still present. Also, similar suspension of operations have occurred in minor leagues only for the franchise to be sold or folded entirely prior to a formerly announced plan. Currently all matters regarding the actual move to Owensboro is in the early stages and rumors suggest that Geary (the owner of the IceMen) does not currently have the actual money to begin renovations to the Owensboro Sports Center, only approved plans. Until something concrete takes place signalling the actual move (as in actual construction work), then we must wait. Also such edits should only be made once a season is over, so early April when the IceMen are done. Yosemiter (talk) 18:59, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tucson Roadrunners, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Phoenix Roadrunners. [edit]

I see that you reverted my edit to Tucson Roadrunners. When intentionally linking to a disambiguation page, the link should be piped through the (disambiguation) redirect per WP:INTDABLINK. This helps those of use at WP:DPL who fix ambiguous links (and the bots that help us) know that the link is intentional. -Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 11:26, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Ohio Cardinals logo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ohio Cardinals logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytoyoda (talk) 02:57, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Mentor Civic Arena has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

NN small town ice rink, solely sourced by primary sources and routine coverage from the local paper. Fails the GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Sparkyb10123! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Sparkyb10123|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you!
